PERSISTENCE IS THE KEY

Persistence is the key factor to the girls of the Lady Beavers. Even though they had some doubts going into the season.

After losing their star pitcher, and star player, Andreina Nunez and Jenaya Wade, the girls didn’t think they would make it to the semi-finals as they did last year, or even the playoffs.

With the addition of new players, and the returning players, the Lady Beavers looked better than expected. The leadership of Melissa Perdomo, the pitching of Je Lisa Rhodes, Robeena Raghubir, and Jessica Molina, and the hitting of Shanee Conde, Latoya Mccrae, Jessica Molina, and Robeena Raghubir, contributed to the season the girls didn't expect to have.

The Lady Beavers had a record of 15-5 including the playoffs, and went 13-4 during their regular season. The Lady Beavers who are known for their hitting and their defense, defeated every team in their division atleast once, including the arch nemesis, Flushing High School, who went undefeated last season.

In the playoffs, the Lady Beavers played School Of The Future and won by the score of 9-4. In the next round they played Springfield Gardens and won by the score of 10-6. In the quarter finals, they played their arch rivals, Flushing High School, and lost by a score of 15-5.

The girls were bummed, but it only made them more confident to do better next year. They were happy to have made it that far, and are anxious to go after Flushing next year.
